Travel time is the time it takes for your movers to get to your pickup location before the job starts. All local jobs within the city include a flat 30-minute travel fee, no surprises. If your job is outside city limits or involves a longer drive, additional travel time may apply.

How do I get a moving quote?

How long does it take to receive a quote?

What information do I need to get a quote?
To generate an instant quote, all you need is photos of your items and your pickup and drop-off information.
Do I need to call someone to get a price?
No. You can receive your quote directly through our booking system without making a phone call.
Can I get a quote without uploading photos?
Yes, but photos help us provide a more accurate estimate and recommend the right truck and crew size.
What happens after I receive my quote?
You can review your recommended truck, crew size, and total price. If everything looks good, you can confirm and book your move directly through the platform.
How is my total price calculated?
Your total is made up of three parts:
- Hourly rate × total time: the hourly rate is based on your truck size and number of movers. Total time includes work time (loading at pickup, driving to drop-off, and unloading) plus a flat 30-minute travel fee to get your movers to your location. For jobs outside city limits, additional travel time may apply to account for movers traveling to and from your location.
- 5% GST: applied to your subtotal.
- 3% credit card processing fee: applied at checkout.
So the full formula looks like this: (Hourly rate × total time) + 5% GST + 3% processing fee = your total
There are no other fees. You’re only charged once the job is complete.
Here’s an example of a Cargo Van / Pickup job with 1 mover that requires 1 hour of work time, plus 30 minutes of travel time:
$55 (hourly rate for Cargo Van / Pickup with 1 mover) × 1.5 (1 hour work time + 30 min travel time)
= $82.50 + $4.13 GST (5%) + $2.60 processing fee (3%) = $89.23.
Moving jobs are designed for larger projects that require longer loading times. For these jobs, pricing is calculated based on the total work time, with a flat 30-minute intra-city travel time added to every booking. We recommend reviewing our vehicle specifications to ensure your selected truck size fits your items properly.
Here’s an example of a 26 ft Moving Truck with 2 movers that requires 2 hours of work time, plus 30 minutes of travel time:
$125 (hourly rate for 26 ft Truck with 2 movers) × 2.5 (2 hours work time + 30 min travel time)
= $312.50 + $15.63 GST (5%) + $9.84 processing fee (3%) = $337.97.
Movers-only jobs follow the same pricing structure and include 30 minutes of intra-city travel time. These services are ideal when you need professional help but already have your own truck or container. Whether you’re rearranging furniture inside your home or unloading a storage container, our team can assist.
Here’s an example of a Movers-only job with 2 movers that requires 1.5 hours of work time, plus 30 minutes of travel time:
$90 (hourly rate for 2 movers) × 2 (1.5 hours work time + 30 min travel time)
= $180.00 + $9.00 GST (5%) + $5.67 processing fee (3%) = $194.67.

What affects the cost of my move?

Is travel time included in the price?
Yes. Travel time is included in your quote for jobs within city limits. If your move is outside city limits, additional travel time may apply.
What happens if my move takes longer than estimated?
If additional time is required beyond your estimated range, billing continues at the hourly rate shown in your quote.
Are there any hidden fees?
No hidden fees. Your quote clearly shows the estimated total or range, including applicable taxes and service fees before booking.
Is travel time included?
Yes. All local jobs include a flat 30-minute travel time fee. For moves outside city limits, additional travel time will apply, this accounts for your movers traveling to your location and returning to their origin location after the job is complete.
