Well, folks, it’s official! After working together informally, we finally sat down and realized there’s so much more we can achieve together. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our official partnership with Women In Need Society (WINS), a local social enterprise that has been uplifting women and families in Calgary for over 30 years.
WINS is committed to addressing gender inequality and poverty by providing essential resources, skills development, and support programs to help individuals thrive. Their impact in 2023 alone reached over 25,000 individuals in Calgary, and we’re proud to play a role in helping them expand their reach even further.
How Moovez is Supporting WINS
Our partnership with WINS focuses on collecting donations across Calgary and delivering gently used items to multiple distribution centers throughout the city. This ensures they reach those who need them most.
Here’s how we’re making an impact:
Helping Collect Donations: We’re actively working with individuals and businesses across the city to pick up and transport donations to WINS donation centers. By streamlining the logistics, we make it easier for Calgarians to give back.
Affordable Delivery of Items: Many people rely on WINS’ thrift stores for affordable household essentials, furniture, and clothing. To further support their mission, Moovez is offering affordable delivery services from WINS donation centers to customers’ homes, making second-hand shopping more accessible to everyone.
Giving Back with Every Move: We’re developing a partnership program where a percentage of every move or delivery booked through our platform by participating businesses and organizations will be donated directly to WINS. This means they’re not just getting a seamless moving experience—they’re also making a meaningful impact in the community.
